NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 debuts with a new AI model for RTX GPUs. Dynamic 6x Frame Generation is RTX 50 series exclusive for Spring 2026. Here's what UAE gamers need to know.
NVIDIA has confirmed DLSS 4.5, rolling out with day-one support for all RTX GPUs—20, 30, 40, and new 50 series cards. Two big changes: a new "2nd generation transformer" model for cleaner image quality and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.
Both tackle ghosting, anti-aliasing, and FPS smoothness.
NVIDIA claims 4.5 sharply reduces motion ghosting compared to DLSS 4. Actual demo footage isn't public yet, so take those promises with a pinch of salt until we see real-world testing.
DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution works on all RTX GPUs—from the RTX 2060 to the new 50 Series. The catch: Dynamic 6x Frame Generation launches exclusively on RTX 50 Series GPUs in spring 2026. If you're running older hardware, you're stuck with existing frame-gen modes.
Running a 240Hz display? DLSS 4.5 tries to get you there—even on less powerful hardware. But the extreme multipliers (6x) are RTX 50 only. NVIDIA keeps the shiniest new toy for its newest cards.
If you own a 20, 30 or 40 Series RTX GPU, DLSS 4.5 means cleaner image quality and slightly smoother gameplay—no extra cost. But Dynamic Multi Frame Generation (up to 6x frames) is RTX 50 exclusive. Your current high-end card is already locked out of the headline feature.
If you prioritise frame rates on ultra-high-refresh displays, DLSS 4.5 on a 50 Series card will deliver the most. But you'll need to buy new hardware—and pay the UAE premium.
Expect game-by-game real-world impact—DLSS works best with supported titles and higher-res displays. Input lag and visual artefacts may still crop up, especially with high multipliers. Most UAE gamers on older hardware won't see all the new features, but everyone gets an image quality upgrade.
DLSS 4.5 switches Super Resolution to a 2nd Gen Transformer model. In simple terms, it’s trained on more data and more edge cases, which should reduce ghosting in motion and make images look more stable frame to frame.
Instead of locking frame generation to a single multiplier, DLSS 4.5 can generate between 3x and 6x frames. The system adjusts this on the fly based on your FPS target and monitor refresh rate.
DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution supports all RTX cards, from RTX 20 through RTX 50. The new Dynamic 6x Frame Generation feature, however, is exclusive to RTX 50 series GPUs.
