'Durandhar' box office collection Day 31: Ranveer Singh starrer scores highest 5th week collections with Times of India

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Worldwide Day 31 Update: Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, surprised the trade yet again by bouncing back into double digits on its fifth weekend. It’s already become the first Indian film to score double digits at the domestic box office every day even in its fourth week. However, that momentum finally slowed down on Friday when the film dropped below Rs 10 crore.

On Friday (day 29), Dhurandhar earned Rs 8.75 crore, which was a significant decline (44.44%) from its Thursday (day 28) earnings of Rs 15.75 crore. It was the first day in its almost month-long run that the film managed to earn only in a single digit within a day. However, it bounced back to double digits thanks to the weekend.

On Saturday (day 30), Dhurandhar added another Rs 11.75 crore to its domestic box office haul, showing no signs of slowing down even in its fifth week. On Sunday (day 31), the film earned Rs 12.75 crore, takings its total collection in India to Rs 772.25 crore, as per Sacnilk.

Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s movie is already the highest grossing Bollywood film in India, after surpassing blockbusters like Laxman Utekar’s Chhaava from last year, Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2 (2023), and Atlee’s Jawan (2023).

However, Dhurandhar is still not the highest-grossing Indian film at the domestic box office. Across languages, Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, earned Rs 1,234.10 crore in India and continues to hold the record as the highest-grossing Indian film domestically.

Production house Jio Studios also announced on Sunday that Dhurandhar has entered the coveted Rs 800 crore club in India, with earnings of Rs 806.80 crore. With this milestone, the Ranveer Singh-starrer became the first original Hindi film to cross the Rs 800 crore mark at the domestic box office.

At the worldwide box office, Dhurandhar has already entered the Rs 1100 crore club, amassing over Rs 1188 crore. As it inches closer to the Rs 1200 mark at the global box office, it may soon be able to challenge KFG: Chapter 2, which stands at Rs 1215 crore, and RRR, which stands at Rs 1230 crore, which are the fourth and fifth highest Indian grossers worldwide so far. This brings Dhurandhar among top 5 Indian earners ever.

However, Dhurandhar has miles to go before it can come even close to the top 3 — Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 1742.10 crore), Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 1788.06 crore), and Nitesh Tiwari’s 2016 Bollywood family sports drama Dangal (Rs 2070.30 crore). If the Rs 1200 crore haul of Dangal from the Chinese box office is excluded, Dhurandhar is already the highest grossing Hindi film of all time globally.

Faridoon Shahryar shared via X, "Akshaye Khanna has delivered mega blockbusters in 2025. Chhava and Dhurandhar are landmark whistleworthy performances. No amount of negative PR can harm him. His organic popularity has bludgeoned the manufactured campaign. Be it Saiyara or be it Akshaye Khanna's dream run, you have to tread on the path less traveled to gain extraordinary success. Dont listen to the wise men who have done nothing but pretend to know-it-all. Pursue excellence, sweat-it-out till-you-drop and be the horse with the blinkers on who can find his way no matter what. Fairytales exist when you defy the norms and follow your heart!!!!"

On Sunday, Dhurandhar not only breached the Rs 1200-crore barrier, but it also surpassed the final worldwide collections of the highest-grossing Kannada film ever, KGF Chapter 2. The Yash-starrer had grossed Rs 1200 crore in 2022.

Trade portal Bollywood Hungama reported that Dhurandhar continues its phenomenal run at the box office, with worldwide gross collections touching Rs 1217.92 crore. The Ranveer Singh-starrer has earned Rs 806.80 crore net at the India box office, with a gross of Rs 952.54 crore domestically, while its overseas gross stands at Rs 265.38 crore, further solidifying the film’s position as one of the biggest global blockbusters in Hindi cinema.

According to trade website Sacnilk, Dhurandhar recorded an overall 27.96 per cent Hindi occupancy on Sunday, January 4, 2026 (Day 31). The Ranveer Singh-starrer saw 16.12 per cent occupancy in morning shows, which picked up significantly during the day with 39.54 per cent in afternoon shows. The momentum continued into the evening with 38.21 per cent occupancy, before dipping to 17.97 per cent during night shows, reflecting steady audience interest even in its fifth week at the box office.

Krystle D'Souza recently revealed how Ranveer Singh changed the entire plan of the song launch event and took her on stage to perform. "We went there. Ranveer Singh is sitting here, I am sitting here, and Jasmine and Madhubanti are singing the song on stage. Suddenly, Ranveer Singh says, ‘Krystle, this is your song. Let’s go,’ and he literally holds my hand and takes me on stage. And I was like, ‘What?’ And then that energy just transferred. It’s just his aura, his vibe, his energy. It’s electrifying, and you just want to match up," revealed the actor in an interview with Zoom.

Ranveer Singh's film saw a growth of 8.51% on its 5th Sunday. Trade site Sacnilk shared that Dhurandhar made Rs 12.75 Cr on Sunday while its collection on Saturday was of Rs 11.75 Cr.

Dhurandhar is now among highest grossing Indian films ever. With an estimated Rs 1,188 crore gross earning worldwide, it is on number 5 spot after Dangal, Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2 and RRR, as per Sacnilk.

Dhurandhar again outdid itself as it managed to post a double figure box office earning on its fifth Sunday. The Ranveer Singh film earned Rs 11.75 crore as per early estimates. It has already entered Rs 800 crore club in India as per its makers, another milestone for a Hindi film.
