DELHI: The Congress party has directed a sharp critique at the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following a recent visit by a delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC) to the BJP's headquarters. This development, Congress leaders argue, underscores the BJP's hypocrisy concerning its diplomatic relations with China, particularly amidst ongoing border disputes and China's territorial ambitions.

Pawan Khera, head of the Congress' media and publicity department, has demanded a call for heightened transparency and accountability from the BJP regarding its policies concerning China. He emphasized the necessity for public disclosure of the agendas, outcomes, and minutes from past meetings between CPC representatives and BJP/Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) members. "The public deserves to know what is being discussed in these high-stakes meetings," Khera stated, expressing concerns about India's national sovereignty in the face of apparent silence from the current government.

The meeting, which saw the BJP hosting the CPC delegation led by Vice Minister Sun Haiyan, was aimed at enhancing inter-party communication.
