VIZIANAGARAM: Jana Sena Party senior leader Avanapu Vikram commended Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for presenting a robust Budget in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on February 14, 2026. Vikram expressed that this Budget focuses significantly on the dual goals of development and welfare for the people of the state.
In his press release, Vikram emphasized the impressive allocation of ₹13,546 crores dedicated to enhancing critical infrastructure, including roads, ports, and airports. He specifically noted the positive impact this funding would have on the Vizianagaram district, particularly with the ongoing construction of the Bhogapuram international airport, which is expected to foster regional economic growth.
Moreover, Vikram praised the ₹8,365 crores allocated for the newly introduced VB-G Ram G scheme, replacing the previous MGNREGA scheme. He further highlighted the ₹4,000 crore allocation for the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to improve rural water supply, benefiting communities across Andhra Pradesh.
This budget reflects a forward-thinking approach, Vikram said, expressing hope that the initiatives laid out will drive significant growth in not just Vizianagaram, but across the state. He credited Pawan Kalyan, the Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, for his commitment to swiftly advancing village development initiatives.
