NEW DELHI: In a recent statement, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi provided insights into Operation Sindoor, detailing its crucial role in India’s counterterrorism efforts and the strategic landscape against Pakistan. He underscored that two pivotal moments in the operation were key to turning the tide and ultimately contributing to Pakistan's surrender.

General Dwivedi articulated his commitment to maintaining a vigilant stance along the borders, particularly stressing the need for readiness against potential threats from both Pakistan and China. “We are prepared to tackle any misadventures from Pakistan,” he asserted, referencing the ongoing monitoring and military initiatives aimed at bolstering India’s defense capabilities.

The Army Chief also discussed significant enhancements implemented under Operation Sindoor, including precision missile strikes on terrorist camps, which signify India’s aggressive posture against cross-border terrorism. “These actions not only reflect our resolve to maintain national security but also reshape our approach to counterterrorism,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Gen Dwivedi shared ambitious plans to establish Integrated Battle Groups that are expected to greatly enhance India's military efficiency in dealing with threats from both nations.
