SOMNATH (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the ‘Shaurya Yatra’ on Sunday, a ceremonial procession organized to honor those who sacrificed their lives defending the historic Somnath temple in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district. This event, a highlight of the Somnath Swabhiman Parv celebrating the temple's 1,000-year history, was marked by a grand procession of 108 horses, symbolizing bravery and sacrifice.
As the procession moved through a one-kilometer route, thousands of devotees and local residents lined the streets, welcoming the Prime Minister. Standing on a specially designed vehicle, Modi, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, waved to the crowd. The enthusiasm of the spectators was palpable, showcasing the importance of the occasion for the community.
