KOLKATA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled substantial connectivity projects in West Bengal, amounting to a staggering ₹18,680 crore. During a recent event, Modi articulated that these initiatives represent the dawn of a new developmental chapter for both West Bengal and the broader eastern India region. He spotlighted how advancements in the state's infrastructure would not only foster local businesses but could also invigorate the entire economy.

The announced projects span a vast array of improvements including roads, railways, and port systems, each designed to modernize logistics and stimulate economic activities. Among the key initiatives are the Kharagpur-Moregram expressway and the expansion of national highways, both of which aim to significantly reduce travel time while enhancing overall connectivity.
