Achieving the milestone in a mere 15 balls, he set a new benchmark during Mumbai’s Vijay Hazare Trophy clash against Punjab at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground. His quick-fire innings ultimately helped highlight his explosive talent, though it wasn’t enough as Mumbai fell short by just one run.

Entering the match at a crucial juncture after the dismissal of his brother Musheer Khan in the ninth over, Sarfaraz wasted no time asserting his dominance. He notably hammered Punjab’s bowler Abhishek Sharma for an astonishing 30 runs in his first over as he raced toward his half-century. Following this, he continued his blistering form, scoring an additional 19 runs off the next over delivered by Harpreet Brar before reaching his half-century.
