TARN TARAN: In a shocking turn of events, Harbarinder Singh, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sarpanch of Thathian Mehta village, was gunned down by unidentified assailants during a wedding ceremony on February 18. The attack was executed at close range, utilizing an AK-47 rifle, making it a brazen act of violence that has left the local community in shock.

The notorious Lakhbir Landa gang has claimed responsibility for the murder in an unverified social media post, further stirring fears of political violence in Punjab. This incident follows the murder of another AAP sarpanch, Jharmal Singh, just weeks earlier, raising serious concerns about the safety of local political figures and the apparent escalation of gang-related violence in the region.

Authorities have indicated that the investigation is progressing, with efforts underway to trace the assailants.
